Founder's Story

A Journey Built on Instinct & Patience

Mr. Rafiyin Thullath entry into the investment world was not through the corridors of institutional finance, it was through the marketplace itself. Starting in optical retail in 2009, he built Stylo Opticals from the ground up, learning first-hand what distinguishes a business that merely survives from one that genuinely serves its community.

"I didn't set out to build a holding company. I set out to build businesses I believed in, and the portfolio followed the conviction."

That conviction, to invest only in what he understood deeply, and to remain operationally close to every venture became the founding principle of Zolare Holdings. As the optical business grew, Mr. Rafi recognised that the same rigour could be applied across lifestyle sectors: fragrance, jewellery, education, and consumer wellness. Each sector chosen not for financial fashion, but for cultural permanence in the GCC market.

Today, Zolare guides its portfolio with the same patience: identifying businesses at inflection points, supporting their growth with genuine operational engagement, and holding with conviction through market cycles.

Investment Philosophy

How We Think About Investing

Every decision at Zolare is shaped by a single belief: that capital should do more than grow — it should build legacies, enhance lifestyles, and create lasting impact.

I.   Operate, don't just own

Zolare takes active roles in portfolio companies, bringing strategic direction, management support, and regional relationships, not just capital.

II.   Cultural fit above financial fashion

We invest in sectors with enduring cultural relevance in the GCC, where consumer relationships are deep and loyalty is genuine.

III.   Patient capital

Zolare is not a vehicle for short-cycle returns. We invest at inflection points and hold through growth phases, compounding value over years not quarters.

IV.   Diversification as protection

A portfolio spanning eyewear, fragrance, jewellery, and education provides natural hedging, consumer behaviour in one sector seldom mirrors another.

V.   Transparency builds trust

Every partner receives clear reporting, honest assessments, and direct access to leadership. Zolare does not manage by distance.
